Stellantis's Commercial-Vehicle Unit to Launch 11 New Models by 2030

By Dominic ChoppingJeep maker Stellantis said it will launch 11 new commercial vehicles by 2030 as part of a strategic plan to strengthen its position in the sector.Stellantis Pro One, the group's unit dedicated to commercial vehicles, will launch both renewed models as well as new vehicles in currently unserviced segments.The plan includes the rollout of new midsize and large van platforms that will provide different powertrain options, including battery electric, hybrid and combustion engine technologies.As part of the model refreshes, it will launch an updated small van, renew a compact van, and introduce two new battery-electric powertrains across the lineup.The company said it is also accelerating the expansion of its global pickup portfolio, with a renewal of the Fiat Strada and Fiat Toro small and compact pickups in South America, as well as the introduction of the new Ram Rampage to North America.At the same time, Stellantis Pro One will fully renew its full-size pickup lineup in North America."Looking ahead, the midsize pickup segment represents a key strategic priority and a significant opportunity to expand market coverage," it said.Stellantis Pro One will address this segment by developing a new product through a strategic partnership already in place, while also introducing a new midsize Ram pickup for the North American market.The company said it will also show a new autonomous "Box on Wheels" concept vehicle in September.Write to Dominic Chopping at [email protected]
