Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Wednesday, helped by gains in information technology stocks, rising for twelfth straight session.
* The CSE All-Share index CSELK:ASI settled up 0.3% to 21,851.30.
* SMB Finance PLC CSELK:SEMB.N0000 and Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC CSELK:ASPH.N0000 were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All-Share index, rising 33.3% and 25%, respectively
* Trading volume rose to 225.2 million shares from 154.9 million in the previous session
* The equity market's turnover rose to 6.46 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($21.36 million), compared with 6.3 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
* Foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing stocks worth 212.3 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading shares worth 6.34 billion rupees, the data showed.
