We hereby announce that Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (President, Representative Director: Hiroyuki Tsubota; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), a consolidated subsidiary of our company, has today received an order to submit reports from the Financial Services Agency pursuant to Article 128, Paragraph 1 of the Insurance Business Act of Japan, as detailed in the attachment.
Please note that, at this time, the impact on our consolidated financial results is still undetermined. Should any matters requiring disclosure arise, we will promptly disclose them.

Receipt of an Order to Submit Reports from the Financial Services AgencySony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (President, Representative Director: Hiroyuki Tsubota; hereinafter, the "Company") received an order to submit reports from the Financial Services Agency on April 30, 2026, pursuant to Article 128, Paragraph 1 of the Insurance Business Act of Japan, regarding the Company's initiatives concerning cases of misconduct and ongoing review of customers' policy status.
We deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern this has caused to our customers and stakeholders.
We take the order to submit reports very seriously and devote our full efforts to eradicating misconduct and establishing a system that is truly customer-centric.
Furthermore, as stated in the news release titled "Our Initiatives to Prevent and Detect Misconduct Early" announced on April 24, 2026, we plan to announce the progress of the ongoing review by the end of May this year and will continue to disclose updates as appropriate thereafter.
