Company to Enter the $94 Billion European MedicalDevice Market
BOSTON, Oct. 14 /PINKSHEETS/-- Solos Endoscopy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SNDY- News)is pleased to announce that the Company has taken the initial steps to obtainthe CE Mark for its Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved MammoView(TM)line of surgical endoscopy instruments. This will allow the MammoView(TM) lineto be sold throughout the European Economic Union (EEU). The entire SolosEndoscopy product line has already received FDA approval for sale within theU.S. and the Company is now working diligently to capture market share withinthe EEU. According to a 2009 report published by Frost & Sullivan, the EEUrepresents $94 Billion, or 30%, of the worldwide demand for medicalinstruments.
Solos Endoscopy is workingclosely with its manufacturers to ensure all requirements of the MedicalDevices Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC) are met. The Company is familiar with thesteps that are to be taken to obtain the CE Mark for its MammoView(TM) line ofsurgical endoscopy instruments, as all of the Company's other medical devices havealready obtained the CE Mark. Solos Endoscopy is currently in discussions withseveral companies, to act as its Authorized Representatives (EC REP) to liaisonwith its targeted European markets.
