NCI is 1 of 27 Institutes and Centers that comprise the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
NCI has built a national network that includes regional and community cancer centers,physicians who are cancer specialists, cooperative groups of clinical researchers, and volunteer and community outreach groups throughout the U.S. and works closely with similar institutions worldwide.
Solos Endoscopy's Mammo View(TM) system employs advanced micro endoscopes and optical technology to give physicians sharp, clear images of the milk ducts where the majority of breast cancers arise.
