Company moves forward with a leaner corporate structure, significantly reduced overhead, and a sharper focus on its U.S. hospitality locations
TEMPE, Arizona — August 12, 2026 — Snakes & Lattes Inc., formerly known as Amfil Technologies Inc. (the “Company”), today announced that Susan Lawver, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed to its Board of Directors, replacing Ben Castanie.
Lawver’s appointment brings direct knowledge of the Company’s U.S. operations and strategic priorities to the Board. The Company believes this closer alignment between executive leadership and the Board will support faster decision-making, clearer accountability, and a stronger focus on operational performance and long-term shareholder value.
The Board change marks a broader governance and strategic reset centered on strengthening and growing the Company’s U.S. hospitality and entertainment business.
Moving forward, the Company intends to focus its operations, resources, and leadership attention on its locations in Tempe, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona; and Chicago, Illinois. The Canadian Snakes & Lattes locations and Interlock Kings will not be part of the Company’s go-forward operating platform.
“This is more than a Board change. It is a reset of what this Company is and where it is going,” said Susan Lawver, Chief Executive Officer of Snakes & Lattes Inc. “We are focusing our time, capital, and leadership attention on the U.S. business we actively operate and are positioned to grow.”
U.S.-Focused Financial Reporting
Beginning with the fiscal period June 30, 2026, the Company intends to deconsolidate the Canadian operations and Interlock Kings from its financial reporting. As a result, the Company’s go-forward financial statements are expected to focus on its U.S. operations and will no longer include the revenue, expenses, debt, or related liabilities of those businesses, subject to final review by the Company’s accountants and legal counsel.
The Company believes this change will give shareholders a clearer view of its core operations, financial performance, and future potential.
“For too long, the Company’s story has been weighed down by a structure that did not clearly reflect the business being operated in the United States,” Lawver said. “We are moving forward with a lean corporate team, significantly reduced overhead, clearer accountability, and a relentless focus on store-level performance. Our goal is to build a more transparent, disciplined, and scalable organization with a credible path toward sustainable profitability.”
The Canadian locations played an important role in establishing the Snakes & Lattes concept and introducing guests to the board game café experience. The Company recognizes Ben Castanie’s original vision in creating the concept and wishes him and the Canadian team continued success.
The Company is also evaluating changes to its U.S. brand positioning as part of this next chapter. Additional details regarding branding, operating initiatives, and future expansion will be announced at the appropriate time.
