Building on this investment, in 2025 we relocated and expanded our capabilities to a new, larger facility in Oudalle, near Le Havre. This strategic move enhances our petrochemical inspection and industrial analytical services while positioning us for continued growth in emerging sectors such as hydrogen and biofuels. Arjan Praat, Vice President of Oil, Gas and Chemical Analytics, who visited the facility in April 2026, noted: " Visiting our new oil, gas and chemicals laboratory in Oudalle was a great opportunity to see firsthand the expertise of our local teams and the capabilities of the facility. The laboratory strengthens SGS's presence in the region and enhances our ability to deliver versatile testing and laboratory outsourcing solutions. " Advanced hydrogen and renewable fuel testing capabilities As demand for hydrogen testing and analytical services continues to grow, we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation. Building on our proven expertise in hydrogen analysis, our new Oudalle laboratory is well positioned to support the evolving needs of the industry. Certified and accredited under COFRAC ISO/CEI 17025 n°1-6456 (scope available on www.cofrac.fr) standards, our facility uses innovative analytical solutions to support hydrogen purity and contaminant testing, in line with ISO 14687/EN 17124 Grade D/F specifications. In addition to hydrogen testing, we provide analytical services for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), supporting the transition toward lower emission fuels and more sustainable energy systems. Supporting the transition to the hydrogen economy As an active member of the ISO/TC 197 Technical Committees for hydrogen fuel quality, hydrogen quality control and sampling for fuel quality analysis, our expertise is globally recognized and helps shape the future of hydrogen standards and best practices.
