Sandvik has received a major underground mining equipment order from Oyu Tolgoi LLC, to be used at the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia's South Gobi Desert. The order is valued at approximately SEK 270 million and was booked in the second quarter, 2025.

STOCKHOLM , July 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has received a major underground mining equipment order from Oyu Tolgoi LLC, to be used at the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia's South Gobi Desert. The order is valued at approximately SEK 270 million and was booked in the second quarter, 2025. The order includes loaders and trucks, and deliveries are expected to begin in October 2025 and continue through November 2026 . Oyu Tolgoi, one of the world's largest known copper-gold deposits, is jointly owned by Rio Tinto and the Government of Mongolia .
