Caribbean Telecommunications Union to resell Route1 MobiKEY to over 17
countries

TORONTO, Sept. 26 /CNW/ - Route1 Inc. (TSX-V:ROI), a market leader in
providing secure, identity-managed remote computing solutions, today announced
that Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) has placed an order for 1,000
MobiKEYs, with the expectation to engage in trials throughout the Caribbean
market.
"CTU trials represent an opportunity for rapid growth and adoption of our
technology in the Caribbean market," said Andrew White, CEO of Route1. "Based
on the results we've seen to date, our customer trials have resulted in a
conversion rate of more than 80%, with requests for additional keys at 7:1.
This represents tremendous potential for Route1 in this market."
Powered by the Route1 MobiNET service delivery platform, the Route1
MobiKEY is a patent-pending computing solution embedded on a smart-card
enabled, cryptographic USB device. It is one of the most powerful and
easy-to-use, secure computing solutions available today. With the MobiKEY,
users have secure access to office computer, desktop, and digital applications
from any location in the world. This makes it ideal for both day to day
computing needs, or for security, disaster recovery and business continuity
planning, while meeting an organization's regulatory compliance needs.
"Adding the Route1 MobiKEY to our portfolio of products provides us with
additional opportunities to generate revenue," said Bernadette Lewis,
Secretary General for CTU. "The MobiKEY is one of the most secure computing
solutions available, and we are confident that the uptake from trials will
exceed even our own expectations."
Route1 meets the needs of its customers by selling its solution through
an extensive network of highly specialized global channel partners including
Six X Telecom, the reseller that brokered the introduction between Route1 and
CTU.
