· Issued by Route1 Inc. via CNW
NEW YORK and TORONTO, Dec. 21 /CNW/ - Route1(TM) (TSX-V:ROI), an
innovator in secure, mobile thin-clients, today announced that four new
partners have joined its MobiAlliance Program, expanding its channel partner
base and market reach. The signings include BTC Worldwide, Ormac Digital,
IT4ce and Open PlanIT.
"We are pleased to be adding new partners to our MobiAlliance program,"
said Andrew White, CEO Route1. "These signings allow us to be vertically
focused through partners and allow our shared customers to benefit from
specific domain expertise relevant to their day to day operational
challenges."
Route1's MobiAlliance Program provides channel partners, demand
generation and market development support, on-going training and support
through its ENABLE, BUILD DEVELOP, WIN methodology, to address the growing
demand for mobile thin-clients with Route1's Mobi Solution.
Route1's Mobi Solution provides simplified, secure remote access for
untrusted users empowering companies to extend their computing and data to
anyone, anytime. The solution comprises thin-client devices, software and the
managed MobiNET service which authenticates users, devices and encrypts all
data transactions. With MobiNET, systems behind firewalls follow users and
establish connections so IT departments need not worry about injected security
attacks and bypass of internet usage compliance. Since no applications or data
reside on the mobile devices, organizations can assure compliance with
privacy, security and governance regulations.
Route1's mobile devices include the MobiKEY, the world's first USB thin-
client that turns any internet-connected Microsoft Windows PC into an instant
Virtual Private Office running applications and data located securely
elsewhere; and the MobiBook PRO, a wireless WinCE thin-client featuring full
keyboard, large screen, and 6-10 hour battery life. Both devices require
subscription to Route1's MobiNET service.
BTC Worldwide is a North America-wide provider of turnkey solutions for
the remote management of healthcare records; Ormac Digital is a trusted
technology advisor in content management, development and hosting solutions to
pharma and related verticals; IT4ce is a Mississauga-based, award-winning
Citrix partner that brings a new dimension to problem solving, ensuring
network tone to infrastructure projects with a proven success record in
packaged goods, training and communications; Open PlanIT is a provider of
innovative human resources and information technology solutions in western
Canada's oil and gas heartland and beyond.
"Route1 offers a unique opportunity for us to simplify and accelerate
patient billing while adding an additional layer of security and comfort for
our customers," said Steve Chernoff, Vice President of Sales and Marketing,
BTC Worldwide. "The Mobi Solution easily and securely extends the 'inside the
corporate firewall' computing environment while enhancing an organization's
ability to comply with its own security policies as well as that of
regulators."
