Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Newsplayer Group plc is pleased to announce that Rodger Sargent was
appointed to the Board as a non-exec Director with effect from 24th
August 2000. Mr Sargent, acted as the financial controller during
Newsplayer's flotation process in May 2000.
Mr Sargent is currently founder and finance director of Sports
Resource. In December 1999 he became the founder and finance director
of InTechnology plc and left in May 2000 upon the completion of
acquisitions of Vdata Limited and HOLF Technologies Limited. Prior to
this he was founder and finance director of Sports Internet from March
1999. Mr Sargent qualified as a chartered accountant with Price
Waterhouse, London in 1996 after which he worked as a debt analyst in
the credit-training department of Merrill Lynch.
