Italian electrical-cable manufacturer Prysmian's strong share price performance is driven by investor enthusiasm around several potential growth catalysts, Berenberg analyst Scott Humphreys says. While the market reacted positively to the possibility of new fiber-optic framework contracts, their financial impact could be more limited than share price movements initially suggested, Humphreys says in a research note. Estimates indicate these agreements could provide a modest boost to long-term earnings, but they remain unconfirmed, while other catalysts also carry uncertainty, he adds. Given the stock's recent rally and already elevated expectations, the analyst views the current risk-reward profile as relatively balanced and maintains a hold recommendation on the stock. Shares trade 1.5% higher at 146 euros. (nina.kienle@wsj.com)
