Orlen is supplied via the port, Polish officials said.Some 40% of the oil processed by Orlen is supplied by Saudi Aramco. The Polish company processed 39.6 million metric tons of oil last year.Orlen also said it was prepared to supply contracted volumes of jet fuel during the seasonal peak in production and demand from aviation that runs from May to September."Orlen flexibly manages its supply chain and production schedules, ensuring it is prepared to fulfill all existing contracts and secure supplies during periods of increased demand," a company spokesman said in an email in response to a Reuters query.European airlines have warned that the Iran war could trigger jet fuel shortages, as Europe relies on the Middle East for about 75% of its jet fuel imports.
