Petrovietnam's Q1 crude oil output to rise 10.2% on year to 2.63 million tons

Vietnam's state energy firm Petrovietnam said on Wednesday that its crude oil output in the first quarter of 2026 was expected to rise 10.2% from a year earlier to 2.63 million tons.The company has this month maximised its production in response to global supply disruptions caused by the war in the Middle East, adding that output would exceed its target by 10.4%. Petrovietnam said its refining unit, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical HOSE:BSR, is operating at 120% of its designed capacity. Petrovietnam said its gas arm, PV Gas HOSE:GAS, will increase its imports of liquefied petroleum gas in April, after having brought 43,000 tons this month.
