BRAEMAR SEASCOPE OPENS SHANGHAI OFFICE
Braemar Seascope Group, the provider of specialised broking and consultancy
services to the international ship-owning, ship-building, oil and offshore
industries, is pleased to announce that they are opening an office in Shanghai
on the 18th February 2003. This office will be headed by Suen Ka Pok, and there
will be further appointments to the office in due course.
Suen Ka Pok joins Braemar Seascope with an established reputation in ship sale
and purchase and his experience will be a significant addition to the group. The
Shanghai office is intended to further develop the company's coverage of the
important Chinese markets.
Commenting on the office opening Braemar Seascope's Chief Executive Alan Marsh
said:
'The group had been considering opening an office in China for some years but
the key was to find the right person to head it. We believe we now have the
right person in Suen Ka Pok. The timing also coincides with a significant rise
in the amount of new building business that we are transacting in China and we
are very excited about the future in this region.
'The opening follows our recent expansion in London of Braemar Container
Shipping and Chartering which is already bearing fruit and we are working on a
number of other projects, which I hope to be able to comment on within the next
few months.'
