OMNI-LITE INDUSTRIES CANADA INC.
OML-TSX VENTURE
CERRITOS, CA, May 5 /CNW/ - Omni-Lite Industries Canada Inc. is pleased
to announce that it has received several new orders for aerospace components.
These orders are for specialty products that are utilized in the installation
of composite sections in advanced aircraft. This is the largest order that
Omni-Lite has received to date for these products. Composite sections are
becoming primary components in many military and civilian aircraft, with many
aircraft such as the Boeing 787 being manufactured principally of composite
materials. The Company is also pleased to announce that it has received a
follow on order in the Military division. The combined value of these orders
is approximately $200,000 US. Most of these products are to be delivered in
the second quarter of 2006.
Omni-Lite Industries is pleased to announce that its associated company,
Omni-Lite E-FORM Technologies Inc. ("E-FORM") has entered into a letter of
intent to be acquired by TSX Venture Exchange listed Company Veritek
Technologies Inc. ("Veritek"). In exchange for 100% of the issued and
outstanding shares of E-FORM, Veritek intends to issue 12,000,000 common
Veritek shares, at a deemed price of $0.25 per share. This transaction is
intended as the Qualifying Transaction of Veritek and as such, is subject to
the approval of the majority of the minority of the Veritek shareholders and
the TSX Venture Exchange. Contemporaneous with the purchase of the E-FORM
shares it is anticipated that the combined entity will change its name to
California Nanotechnologies Corp. The operating arm will be based in Southern
California.
To enable the evaluation of the crystalline nanostructured materials
being developed in California, E-FORM is also pleased to announce that it has
purchased a state of the art Thermal Field Emission Scanning Electron
Microscope. The extensive capabilities of this microscope will be enhanced
through various sophisticated analytical and sample preparation tools. This
system will be installed in E-FORM's laboratory in Cerritos, California.
Analytical capabilities will include chemical analysis through Energy
Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) techniques and grain size, grain boundary and
grain orientation quantification through Electron Backscatter Diffraction
(EBSD) analysis. Sample preparation will be enabled with an ion argon slicing
system. The resolution of the microscope is approximately 0.3 nanometers. The
list price of the complete system is over $666,000 US.
"This system gives E-FORM unparalleled capabilities in evaluating the
nanostructured materials developed from the various technologies being
pioneered at E-FORM," stated Dr. Patrick B. Berbon, Vice-President of Research
and Development. "This microscope is one of only 20 of this type in the entire
United States. The ion argon slicer is one of only 10 in the United States.
Together these in-house tools, which are more capable than those available at
most Government and University Research Facilities, will allow rapid
evaluation, enhanced experimental design and the early product
characterization of the many materials being developed by California
Nanotechnologies."
