Provides LVL Export Operations Management Service for YANMAR LOGISTICS
MITSUI-SOKO HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hirobumi Koga) announces that MITSUI-SOKO Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Torii), a member of the MITSUI-SOKO Group (hereinafter the “Group”), has provided the LVL Export Operations Management Service (hereinafter the “Service”) to support the enhancement of the efficiency of export operations for logistics activities entrusted to us by YANMAR LOGISTICS Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Katsumi Ishida).
The Service is built on LVL (Logistics Value Link), a digital supply chain management (SCM) platform designed to optimize logistics for our customers. It is currently implemented for specific export operations within the logistics services provided to Yanmar Logistics.
Historically, creating export shipping documents has posed considerable challenges due to inconsistent preparation methods and fragmented storage locations, stemming from the use of various formats and platforms for different document types. The introduction of the Service has enabled consolidated document creation and centralized cloud-based document management, streamlining logistics data collection, enhancing document search, and improving information sharing among personnel. In addition, we have established a system that enables comprehensive management of export operations, covering everything from document preparation to booking arrangements and ship loading, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and standardization.
Moreover, by integrating the shipper’s order acceptance system with the Service’s data, users can now track the progress of shipping arrangements at the order detail level. This integration not only streamlines logistics operations but also greatly enhances the convenience for those responsible for managing order placement and acceptance. The overall efficiency of export shipping operations and the development of a robust data infrastructure are progressing, paving the way for future utilization of performance data and driving further enhancements in visibility and efficiency across the entire operation.
