Novra Technologies and Rikei Announce Sale of S75 DVB-IP Receivers to JSAT

· Issued by Novra Technologies Inc. via CNW
WINNIPEG, June 24 /CNW/ - Novra Technologies Inc. (NVI: TSX; Venture), a
provider of broadband technologies for satellite, cable and wireless networks
announced today that its Japanese Reseller, Rikei Corporation, has signed a
contract to supply and install Novra's S75 DVB/IP receivers/routers to JSAT,
Japan's largest satellite operator.
The contract calls for the delivery of thousands of receivers and the
development of network management software. Shipments are expected to begin in
the 2nd Quarter of 2005.
The Novra S75 receiver was selected by JSAT due to its superior price
performance, operational efficiency and rugged reliability, and will be JSAT's
preferred DVB/IP receiver of choice.
"We are honored to have Rikei select our technology to assist JSAT to
deliver their Satellite services. Rikei has done a tremendous job in bringing
Novra's products and solutions to such a reputable satellite operator and we
shall continue working closely with them to expand our market presence in
Japan." stated Mr. Harris Liontas, President and CEO of Novra Technologies
Inc.
"A major reason why Novra S75 was adopted this time as a receiver for
JSAT's satellite data distribution network is that its price was competitive,
its size was smaller and its performance was better than conventional
satellite data receivers. We'll promote this product to other users, too, in
Japan by appealing its features to them." stated Mr. Mark (Makoto) Koyanagi,
Network Solution Department General Manager of Rikei Corporation.
