Selected as a Constituent of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index (DJBICI Asia Pacific) for Eight Consecutive YearsNissan Chemical Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: YAGI Shinsuke) announces that it has been selected as a constituent of the "Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index" for eight consecutive years, which is the Asia-Pacific regional index of the "Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices" (renamed from the "Dow Jones Sustainability Indices" (DJSI) in 2025, hereinafter referred to as DJBICI), a globally recognized benchmark for socially responsible investment.
DJBICI is a stock index jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices in the United States and RobecoSAM, a Swiss investment management advisory firm, to select corporates with excellent sustainability in the view point of "economics", "environment" and "society".
"DJBICI Asia Pacific" is targeting major companies in the Asia-Pacific region and 162 companies (76 companies from Japan) were selected from about 600 companies in this year.
