NOTIFICATION: CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENT OF SUBSTANTIVE COMPANY SECRETARY
This is to notify Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the Investing Public that the Board of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, at its meeting held on 29 April 2026, approved the appointment of Mr. Izuchukwu Akpa as the Company Secretary of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, effective 29 April 2026.
Mr. Akpa was appointed as the acting Company Secretary in February 2024 following the exit of the former Company Secretary. Mr. Akpa is a lawyer with over eight (8) years of professional experience spanning Company Secretariat, Corporate Governance, Corporate Law, Compliance and General Legal Practice.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nigeria (UNN), and possesses several professional certifications, with memberships in reputable bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators, and the Compliance Institute of Nigeria.
