CAMARILLO, Calif., June 03, 2026--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Newton Golf Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: NWTG), a technology-forward golf equipment company focused on physics-driven engineering, today announced that Australian professional long-drive golfer Thomas Fliniks recently set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the fastest golf drive using Newton’s Fast Motion 3-dot shaft, achieving a ball speed of 235.1 mph and surpassing the prior record set in 2013. The record was officially recognized by Guinness World Records during a sanctioned long-drive event in Australia. Launched in April 2025, the Newton Fast Motion is a lighter, tour-proven shaft engineered to deliver swing speed while maintaining stability and control for golfers seeking top-tier performance. Overall, more than 60 professional golfers have put Newton shafts in play across PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, LPGA, and Korn Ferry Tours. PGA Tour professionals typically register ball speeds around 173-190 mph. Fliniks is part of a rare group of fewer than 15 golfers worldwide who have officially recorded ball speeds above 225 mph. The 235.1 mph ball speed established a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the fastest recorded golf drive. "This GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title validates the performance capabilities of our Fast Motion shaft and reflects the growing recognition of Newton Golf among elite players," said Akinobu Yorihiro, co-founder and chief technology officer of Newton Golf. "We continue to see growing adoption among golfers seeking lighter-weight shafts that deliver speed while maintaining stability and control." Newton Golf is in the early stages of expanding the Newton Motion™ shaft platform across additional club categories and distribution channels. The company recently reported record net sales of $8.1 million in 2025, representing 136% growth compared to 2024, driven by continued adoption across direct-to-consumer and professional club-fitting channels. The company is expanding across professional fitters, retail partners and international distribution, while engaging in early-stage product evaluations with golf equipment manufacturers and select fitters. Although these efforts remain early stage and no commercial supply agreements have been finalized, Newton Golf believes they provide valuable product feedback and may support broader adoption over time.
