Newmark : Pacific Arranges Lease for Small’s Smash Club at Iconic Laguna Beach Property

Newmark Pacific Managing Director Ian Brown and Associate Vanessa Brown-Pope represented the tenant, restaurateur and retired professional snowboarder Jordan Small, in the transaction. Newmark Pacific has advised Small on multiple transactions over the past two years, including a location in San Clemente. Small's Smash Club will occupy approximately 1,808 square feet in the building, one of Laguna Beach's most recognizable coastal properties. Originally built in 1928 and home to a longtime local dining institution for more than five decades, the property features three ocean-view patios and prominent frontage along Pacific Coast Highway, with visibility to more than 36,000 vehicles per day. Small's Smash Club is expanding its growing hospitality concept following early success in South Orange County, which includes the San Clemente location earning "Best Burger in San Clemente" in its first year of operation. The Laguna Beach outpost will build on that momentum, introducing a full selection of beer, wine and cocktails, as well as an expanded dining and events space. "Prime coastal opportunities of this nature are incredibly limited in Laguna Beach," said Ian Brown.
