About this update from Mineral Resources Limited

Iron Ore MinRes begins construction of Onslow Iron Resort Mineral Resources (MinRes) has commenced major construction of Onslow Iron Resort, the company's second industry-leading accommodation facility at its Onslow Iron project. Published on 18 August 2026 Neighbouring Onslow townsite on the Pilbara coast, Onslow Iron Resort will be a home away from home for MinRes employees working in the project's coastal operations. Onslow Iron Resort comprises of 270 rooms, each with 45 square metres of living space - about three times the size of typical mine site accommodation. Every room will have a queen-size bed, kitchenette, ensuite, lounge and washer-dryer, eliminating the need to wait for communal laundry facilities. Amenities include a swimming pool, communal BBQ areas, outdoor sports court, indoor fitness centre, as well as a restaurant, tavern and café serving high-quality food and barista-made coffee. It is the latest stage in MinRes' commitment to high-quality facilities, food and flights for its people, following the opening of Mungala Resort at the Ken's Bore mine site in 2025. MinRes Managing Director Chris Ellison said Onslow Iron Resort reinforces the company's commitment to setting a new standard for mine site accommodation by building something the industry hadn't seen before. "Mungala Resort has already proved the value of that investment. We've seen improved retention, stronger productivity and more team diversity since its opening," Ellison said. "Construction of Onslow Iron Resort is the next step and we are proud it will be a genuine home away from home for our people on the Pilbara coast." Earthworks were completed at the site in 2024 before major construction was deferred. The remaining construction spend is estimated at $120 million, with completion expected in early FY28. MinRes has also installed 10 modular, four-bedroom homes at Barrarda Estate in Onslow as part of the company's commitment to invest in the local community. The homes encourage Onslow Iron employees, particularly those with young families, to relocate to Onslow and become active members of the town. Onslow Iron, developed by MinRes in partnership with Baowu, AMCI and POSCO, delivered its first shipment of iron ore in May 2024 and achieved nameplate capacity of 35 million tonnes per annum in 2025.
