Start of MRX-7MLL Phase I a Clinical Trial
MedRx is pleased to announce that the first clinical trial (P1a) of MRX-7MLL, a transdermal patch with memantine for Alzheimer disease, has started in Australia. This First-In-Human study for MRX-7MLL is designed to observe the skin permeability and the skin safety in healthy volunteers.
MRX-7MLL is a transdermal patch with memantine using the NCTS (Nano Colloid Transdermal System), one of exclusive MedRx technologies. It was confirmed by US FDA through pre-IND meeting that the clinical studies for efficacy such as Phase 2 and Phase 3 don't need for NDA approval of MRX-7MLL, if bioequivalence is proved between MRX-7MLL and oral memantine.
MedRx intends to contribute the improvement of medication adherence and Quality of Life in Alzheimer's patients, families and healthcare workers by MRX-7MLL, a one-week patch which makes possible visual confirmation of medication.
