Medallion Shareholders Elect Rod McKeen to Board of Directors

· Issued by Gamma Resources Ltd. via CNW
TSX-V: MDL

VANCOUVER, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - Medallion Resources Ltd (TSX-V: MDL)
announces that at its recent Annual General Meeting, shareholders voted in
favour of all proposed resolutions including approval of the Company's
stock-option plan and the election of the four-member Board of Directors. The
new board consists of William H Bird, Donald M Lay, David A Haber and new
member, Roderick C McKeen. Rod McKeen is a partner of Axium Law Corporation, a
Canadian law firm that specializes in providing securities law, corporate
finance, mergers and acquisitions and mining law advice to an international
clientele of emerging companies. McKeen has 23 years experience in all aspects
of advising mineral exploration and mining companies, including those listed
on the Toronto, TSX Venture, American and London stock exchanges.
In connection with the election of McKeen to the Board of Directors, the
Company, under its Stock Option Plan dated 13 September 2006, has granted
100,000 incentive stock options, exercisable at $0.30 per share, for a term of
five years.
Medallion Resources Ltd (TSX-V: MDL) is exploring the Ocelot gold
property, which is located 40 kilometres northwest of Austin, Nevada.
Exploration targets potentially deep, high-grade mineralization of the
epithermal quartz-adularia gold-exploration model. Gold deposits such as
Midas, Silver Cloud, and deeper portions of Sleeper and Grassy Mountain
exemplify this model. Typical of the epithermal quartz-adularia gold model,
the Ocelot property contains widespread occurrences of silicification,
anomalous gold values and a quartz-adularia hot-springs system.
The Ocelot property lies at the intersection of two major Nevada gold
trends, the Independence-Crescent Valley Lineament and the Austin-Lovelock
mineral belt. Both trends host significant gold deposits and the intersection
of the two trends creates an excellent gold-exploration target. The
Austin-Lovelock mineral belt is parallel to, and west of the Battle Mountain
trend.
