Wizz Air carried 7.13 million passengers in May, an increase of 26% year-on-year, with capacity rising 25.4% to 7.77 million seats. This marks an acceleration into the summer season from the 22% year-on-year growth in passengers reported for April. The load factor for the month of May was 91.7%, up 0.5ppts year-over-year. During the month: · Tel Aviv services resumed on May 28. Having suspended flights to Israel on the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East, Wizz Air resumed operations on May 28, looking to reconnect Israel to multiple destinations in Europe, including Athens, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Krakow, Larnaca, London, Milan, Rome, Sofia, and Warsaw. · Italian expansion continues apace with further aircraft allocations announced.
