Wizz Air carried 6.63 million passengers in April, a 21.9% increase year-on-year, with capacity rising 23.1% to 7.46 million seats. The load factor for the month was 88.9%, down 0.9 ppts year-over-year. During the month: · Additional aircraft announced for Palermo. Following the January announcement that two A321neos will be based at Palermo's Falcone Borsellino airport starting August 1st, a third aircraft will be added on September 6th. This third based aircraft will enable Wizz Air to launch two new domestic routes - to Rome Fiumicino (3x daily) and Pisa (10x weekly) - alongside international services to Barcelona, Dortmund, Marrakech and Prague. · Turin announced as the seventh base in Italy: Wizz Air will base two A321neos in Turin in October 2026, doubling this year's originating capacity from the city to over 1 million seats.
