M&G : Life appoints Steve Sands as Advisory Relationships Director

London, 13th May 2026 - M&G Life today announces the appointment of Steve Sands as Advisory Relationships Director within its Advice business. This newly created role strengthens M&G's advice leadership team at a time of continued growth, reinforcing its commitment to scaling a high-quality business as demand for financial advice increases.

Steve will lead the work with M&G's advisers, bringing their insight into the heart of proposition development to strengthen competitiveness and deliver consistently strong customer outcomes. He joins on 18 May and will report to Ross Liston, M&G Advice CEO.

Steve brings more than 30 years' experience in financial services, joining from Mercer, where he most recently led Private Wealth in the UK. Prior to that, he was UK Director of Platform Distribution and Workplace Relationships at Standard Life Aberdeen. He has a strong track record of working closely with advice firms and senior stakeholders, and in building resilient advice propositions.
