Sirdar PLC 05 June 2007 Sirdar PLC ('Sirdar' or 'the Group') 5 June 2007 Management changes In the interim results released on 29 March 2007, Sirdar detailed plans to amalgamate its two floor coverings activities into one operation and announced that Gordon Donald, the current managing director of the Group's Burmatex business, had been appointed as managing director of the Group's floor coverings division with effect from 1 July 2007. Regrettably, Mr. Donald has now decided to take up a position in another business, outside the floor coverings sector, and will leave the Group on 31 July 2007. In view of this, the Group intends to commence a formal recruitment process for this position as soon as possible. Steve Harrison, the Group's chief operating officer, will increase his time commitment to the Group with effect from 1 August 2007 to enable him to act as managing director of the floor coverings division until the completion of the recruitment process. In addition to the above, Ian Stead, the Group's company secretary, will step down from that position on 30 June 2007 to enable him to concentrate on his role as finance director of the Group's specialist yarns division. Kevin Henry, finance and planning director, will take on the additional role of company secretary with effect from 1 July 2007.
