TORONTO, Aug. 23 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX) announced today that its Aktelux subsidiary has been selected by Oerlikon Contraves (Canada) Inc. to supply 10.4" LCD display systems for their Advanced Reconnaissance and Remotely Operated Weapon System (ARROWS) program. Oerlikon Contraves is a leading systems integrator based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. The custom designed display, which is destined for use in a Multi-Purpose Protected Vehicle manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) for the Belgian Defence forces will take advantage of the significant expertise Luxell has developed in display technologies. This order is for an initial quantity of 212 display systems, valued in excess of CAD $1M, and includes an option clause for an additional 112 systems. This contract is in addition to other Oerlikon contracts previously received for various tablet computer display systems and ruggedized terminal displays installed in man-machine interface systems for in-vehicle and remote operation applications.
