TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX) today announced that shipments for fiscal 2007, completed August 31st are believed to be the highest number in the company's history with a total number of 625 flat panel display units delivered to a variety of customers. The Company estimates that about 35% of shipments occurred in the final quarter. Across the full year, Luxell products were destined for programs such as the Euro-fighter, Airbus A400M, BAE Hawk fighter aircraft, the P3 Maritime Patrol Aircraft, the CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter and the Westland Lynx battlefield and maritime helicopter. Products shipped were specifically designed for individual customer applications and included maintenance data panels, video display units, multifunctional displays, data entry panels and terminal displays for a ground based air defense system.
Jean-Louis Larmor, Luxell's Senior Vice-President Business Development, said that "our delivery performance has definitely exceeded expectations of our customer market considering the challenges that were faced by Luxell in the past year. Our delivery performance has done much to build the confidence of our existing customers as well those we are currently negotiating with and hope to bring on board over the next year."
Luxell is also pleased to report it has received another add-on order for an additional 18 specialized terminal displays with delivery to be completed by January 2008. The value of the order is expected to be approximately $360,000 CDN. David Pasieka, Luxell's interim CEO, noted that, "our delivery results and these additional orders confirm that we are making solid progress in building new growth and moving towards our goal of achieving a profit for Luxell in the current 2008 fiscal year. The past year is actually the first year in Luxell's history in which the company's revenues are completely based on our ruggedized flat panel display product shipments. We're looking forward to reporting on these results in more detail as soon as our audit is completed."
