TORONTO, April 3 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX) is pleased to report that its repeat order and customer support business continues to strengthen with customers such as Lockheed Martin (U.S.) and Technobridge (Japan). This includes Luxell display products used onboard the P3 Orion Maritime Patrol and CH47 helicopter aircraft.
Jean-Louis Larmor, Luxell's CEO, said that "we have taken tremendous strides in building awareness for the service and product support side of the business... for example, over the past week we logged over $400,000 in product support contracts. We see this continuing to grow in importance as a key revenue-producing activity, especially as the cumulative number of deliveries completed increases and programs extend beyond standard warranty periods. Over the past several months we have shipped and booked close to $1.5 million with seven of our customers in this aerospace and defense segment. At the same time our new proposal activities are focusing on opportunities with a growing number of new potential customers, specifically in the military and commercial aerospace sectors."
The Company recently presented its products and capabilities at a European aerospace and defense industry conference in Italy and will also be pursuing new opportunities at CANSEC 2008, a Canadian security and defense industry conference, and at Aeromart 2008, in Montreal. The latter is a focused aerospace event based on pre-planned business-to-business meetings involving high level prime contractors and the entire aerospace network of subcontractors.
