RESIGNATION /APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF LEGEND INTERNET PLC
Legend Internet Plc ("the Company") hereby notifies the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its esteemed shareholders, and the investing public of the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Daniel Mmaduka. The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Mmaduka for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Company and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.
The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Chris Pitan as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 September 2025.
Mr. Pitan is a Certified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, technology, energy, and real estate. He has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful financial insights, driving corporate strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance across complex organizations.
Most recently, he served as Commercial Finance Manager at Sky Group (UK), where he managed over $200 million in capital and operational budgets, optimized cloud and streaming investments worth $120 million annually, and delivered significant cost savings while aligning financial operations with strategic business goals.
Prior to that, he was Finance Business Partner at West Kent Housing Association (UK), overseeing a £100 million budget and implementing advanced financial monitoring systems that improved transparency and decision-making. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Megadrill Services LLC / Depthwize Limited (US/Nigeria), where he drove $60 million in tax savings, successfully restructured $100 million in corporate debt, and oversaw a $200 million bond issuance.
Mr. Pitan began his career at KPMG Nigeria, where he advised multinational clients on M&A, tax structuring, and regulatory reforms. He holds an MSc in Law and Finance from Queen Mary University of London, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and is qualified as a Barrister at Law (BL) with an LLB in Law.
The Board is confident that Mr. Pitan's expertise and leadership will further strengthen the Company's financial management and support its strategic growth objectives.
