KBank responds to Monetary Policy Committee resolution with lending interest rates reduction of up to 0.25%, effective 22 December 2025.

KBank acknowledges and understands the financial burden faced by business and retail customers amid the current slow economic growth. Therefore, KBank is ready to immediately comply with the resolution of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) by providing assistance to customers through a reduction in lending interest rates of up to 0.25%, to help enhance liquidity, reduce financial costs, and serve as a key support for customers to move forward with confidence. Furthermore, the continued easing of monetary policy will help alleviate debt burdens for households and businesses, enabling customers to recover with full strength.

Mr. Chongrak Rattanapian, KBank's President, stated that the Thai economy is likely to experience limited growth in the near future due to pressure from slowing consumption and exports, as well as a slowdown in private sector spending and investment amid high uncertainty. KBank believes that proactive measures, such as the immediate interest rate reduction, are a crucial step toward strengthening financial stability and supporting the overall effectiveness of monetary policy. In particular, these measures aim to quickly assist and support KBank's customers, enabling the country to recover and grow to its full potential, leading to long-term economic sustainability.

KBank has reduced its lending interest rates for different customer groups, effective from 22 December 2025, as follows:

  • Minimum Loan Rate (MLR): Reduced by 0.10%, from 6.72% to 6.62%

  • Minimum Overdraft Rate (MOR): Reduced by 0.25%, from 6.69% to 6.44%

  • Minimum Retail Rate (MRR): Reduced by 0.10%, from 6.78% to 6.68%

For deposit interest rates, KBank has reduced them by 0.05%-0.10%, which is a smaller reduction than the lending interest rates.

KBank will continue to closely monitor the situation. Customers experiencing financial difficulties or impacted by current economic conditions are encouraged to contact KBank through any of available service channels for assistance.
