Minimum Loan Rate (MLR): Cut by 0.08% from 7.05% to 6.97%

After the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) resolved to cut the policy interest rate by 0.25% from 2.00% to 1.75% per year, which is the second consecutive policy interest rate cut this year, in order to adjust the monetary policy to be appropriate for the Thai economy, which is showing a slowdown in growth from the slowdown in the manufacturing sector, exports, and the number of foreign tourists, as well as the increased risks from the trade policies of major economies, especially the trade policies of the United States, even though the United States and China recently reached a temporary agreement to reduce import tariffs between each other, which has helped alleviate some short-term pressure, the international trade situation remains uncertain and may affect the global and Thai economies in the future.
Mr. Jongrak Rattanapian, KBank's President, revealed that in order to be consistent with the cut in the policy interest rate and appropriate for the current economic situation that is still facing risk factors in many aspects, KBank has announced a cut in the lending rate by up to 0.15% to pass on lower financial costs and increase opportunities to access loans to the household and business sectors. This interest rate cut not only supports liquidity in the economic system but also eases the burden to give customers more financial flexibility and helps increase their potential to conduct business and manage expenses effectively.
KBank has therefore cut the lending rates, effective 16 May 2025, with the following details:
Also, KBank has cut deposit rates by 0.05-0.20% to align with the lending rate cut.
