CALGARY, May 13 /CNW/ - Jura Energy Corporation ("Jura") announced today that Nigel McCue has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation and has been appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Nigel served as President and CEO of Jura since June 2006. As announced on February 13, 2008, Nigel has joined Lamprell plc (AIM: LAM) as Chief Operating Officer. The board of directors wishes Nigel well in his new venture and is extremely pleased that he will continue with Jura in a vital leadership role.
Graham Garner has been appointed President and CEO on an interim basis. Graham has been part of the company's management team since April of 2003, serving as Executive Vice President from April 2003 until May 2005, as President and CEO from May 2005 until June 2006, and Executive Vice President from June 2006 until the present time. He has also served as a director since May of 2005.
The board of directors extended its thanks to Norman Holton for his service to the company as Chairman of the Board since March 14, 2007. Mr. Holton will continue as a director of Jura.
