Customer news IAG welcomes 50th intern through long-standing partnership with the Australian Disability Network 10 August, 2026 3 Share this story: WATCH: IAG celebrates the success of its long-standing partnership with AusDN, welcoming its 50th intern and hosting the recent Sydney Connection Event (video transcript available below) IAG has reached an important milestone in its accessibility and inclusion journey, welcoming its 50th intern through the Australian Disability Network (AusDN) Internship Program. The achievement reflects the strength of IAG's long-standing partnership with the Australian Disability Network, which began in 2017 and has helped create meaningful pathways into employment for people with disability, while also being an important opportunity for IAG people and leaders to learn from diverse lived experiences. IAG recently celebrated the achievement alongside members of the disability inclusion community while hosting the AusDN Sydney Connection Event. Designed to bring together organisations committed to advancing disability inclusion, the event provided an opportunity for members to reconnect and discuss the challenges, successes and opportunities that can help create meaningful change across workplaces and communities. IAG's Executive General Manager, Talent, Culture and Inclusion Gill Folkes, said the partnership with AusDN has played an important role in IAG's accessibility journey. What began as creating opportunities and employment pathways for people with disability has evolved into a broader focus on accessibility across our workplaces, systems and culture. The Internship Program has helped us learn from lived experience, build disability confidence across our teams and better understand the barriers people can face. That learning has helped shape how we think about accessibility, not only for our people, but also for the customers and communities we serve across Australia and New Zealand.
