MONTREAL, Jan. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - (TSX- Venture: GGR), Golden Goose Resources Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of the Company has appointed Mr. Kevin Sherkin as Director, following Mr. John R. Macklem's resignation.
Mr. John R. Macklem has resigned as Director, Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President Finance of the Company for personal reasons. He will remain involved with the Company as a consultant for the year 2007 to ensure a smooth transition.
The Board of Directors of the Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Richard Kwong as Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President Finance and of Mr. Jean-Marc Lacoste as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr Lacoste, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, stated that "the Company is pleased to welcome Mr Sherkin and Mr. Kwong and to be able to count on their contribution and expertise. The Company is saddened by Mr. Macklem's departure and wishes to thank him for his involvement of nearly twenty years with the Company."
The Board of Directors of the Company also announces that it has granted stock options to purchase an aggregate of 200,000 common shares of the Company at an exercise price of $0.48 per share to Mr. Sherkin and to Mr. Kwong. The granted options will expire on December 31, 2011. The grant of such stock options is made in accordance with the stock option plan of the Company. The appointments of Mr. Sherkin and of Mr. Kwong are both subject to regulatory approval.
