TORONTO, Nov. 30 /CNW/ - Gabriel Resources Ltd. ("Gabriel") confirmed
today that it has not as yet received from the Romanian Ministry of the
Environment (the "Ministry") the questions (the "Annex Questions") that must
be addressed in an Annex to the Rosia Montana environmental impact assessment
(the "EIA").
Alan R. Hill, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gabriel, commented
"We are confident that the Ministry is endeavoring to provide us with the
Annex Questions as soon as it is able to do so." Mr. Hill continued "It is our
understanding that the volume of questions the Ministry must sort through has
resulted in the delay and we will update the market as soon as the questions
are received."
In anticipation of receipt of the Annex Questions, Gabriel's EIA team
continues to prepare responses based on the ongoing assessment of the comments
and questions raised during the public consultation process. As a result,
Gabriel anticipates being in a position to provide a prompt response to the
Annex Questions.
