ENPAR files patent application in United Kingdom for its ExtrEL Leaching Technology

· Issued by Current Water Technologies Inc via CNW
GUELPH, ON, Oct. 11 /CNW/ - ENPAR Technologies Inc. ("ENPAR" or "the
Company") is pleased to announce that it has filed a patent application to the
United Kingdom Patent Office for recent advancements to its ExtrEL Leaching
Technology.
By international agreement, this United Kingdom Patent Application
establishes a Priority Date for the invention, which is recognized by
virtually all other countries. Over the next year, ENPAR will submit patent
applications for countries that have a rich history of base metal mining,
including Australia, Canada, Russia and South Africa.
The ability of the ExtrEL Leaching System to effectively leach nickel
from sulphide minerals (currently proven to recover up to 77% of the contained
nickel from nickel sulphide mine tailings) represents a significant
opportunity for both major and junior mining companies.
Major companies will be empowered with the ability to recover the
significant value of nickel that is currently locked in mine tailings that are
generally considered a major environmental liability.
ENPAR estimates that the recoverable nickel contained in the mine
tailings in the Sudbury area alone is valued in the tens of Billions of
Dollars. Based on known historical nickel mining camps, the business
opportunity for ENPAR worldwide is spectacular.
In addition, ENPAR believes that the ExtrEL System could become the
mineral processing approach of choice for mill sulphide concentrate, thereby
facilitating processing on-site and eliminating transportation to a smelting
facility.
Enpar is currently in preliminary discussions with senior executives of
interested mining companies, seeking to form strategic alliances, joint
ventures, and royalty or licensing agreements.

ENPAR is a "Technology Company" applying its patented and proprietary
"Electrochemical Technologies" to the treatment of waste water and drinking
water contaminated by metals or nutrients i.e., nitrate/ammonia associated
with the mining, metal processing, chemical, agricultural, municipal and waste
management sectors. The common shares trade on Tier II of the TSX Venture
Exchange under the symbol "ENP".
