Elsewedy Electric reports 10.6% y/y increase in net profit to $89.6mn in Q4 2025

Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric Group (EGX: SWDY) reported a 10.6% year-on-year (y/y) increase in net profit for Q4 2025, reaching about EGP 4.7bn ($89.6mn) after minority interests, compared with roughly EGP 4.2bn in the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s consolidated financial statements published on the Egyptian Exchange. 

Total revenues rose by 21.1% y/y to EGP 81.3bn in Q4 2025, up from EGP 67.16bn in Q4 2024.

Elsewedy Electric is an Egyptian multinational leader in energy and infrastructure, currently expanding its regional footprint through major projects like the El Saad solar plant in Saudi Arabia and new production lines for aluminum enameled wires.

During the period, the group generated around EGP 42.6bn in revenue from its wires, cables, and accessories segment, while the engineering and construction division recorded about EGP 26.7bn in revenue.

In 2025, Elsewedy Electric posted a slight decline in net profit after minority interests to EGP 17.33bn, compared with EGP 17.46bn in 2024, representing a marginal decrease of about 0.8%.

Despite a modest drop in annual profit, the company achieved strong revenue growth, with total revenues exceeding EGP 281bn in 2025, up 21.2% from EGP 232bn during the previous year.

The engineering and construction segment recorded significant growth, with revenues rising by 51% y/y to around EGP 87bn, up from about EGP 57.7bn in 2024.

Elsewedy Electric’s head, Ahmed Elsewedy, said the company maintained strong performance in 2025, although profit margins returned to more normal levels after a period of exceptionally rapid growth.
