CALGARY, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Marum Resources has received notice from Apex
Geoscience, the project manager, that the exploration drill rig will be moving
onto the Fort Macleod property on Sunday December 4th. The commencement of
drilling operations is scheduled for Monday December 5th, 2005.
Marum's Fort Macleod property covers 36,683 hectares (90,800 acres)
surrounding drainage channels where outcrop samples were found to contain high
amounts of uranium (5,700 parts per million uranium and 4,990 parts per
million uranium). These results are equivalent to 0.57 per cent uranium
(11.4 pounds per ton uranium) and 0.49 per cent uranium (9.9 pounds per ton
uranium). (Press Release, June 1 2005.)
Four grids consisting of five to eight holes each are planned in order to
sample the shallow stratigraphic sandstone targets of the "Hot Bones" area
where elevated amounts of uranium have been identified by surface spectrometer
readings and laboratory analysis.
