Speedy Hire Plc announced the appointment of Andrew McNaughton CBE as a Non-Executive Director, effective July 1, 2026, who will also join the Audit & Risk, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees. McNaughton brings over 40 years of experience in construction and infrastructure, having previously served as CEO of Balfour Beatty Plc and COO of Systra SA. This appointment is intended to further strengthen the Board's expertise, coinciding with the departure of Non-Executive Director David Garman at the upcoming AGM. Andrew has over 40 years' experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors and is currently a Non-Executive Director and advisor to several infrastructure and capital intensive industrial companies. A Chartered Civil Engineer, he was previously the CEO of Balfour Beatty Plc, the international construction and engineering organisation and Chief Operating Officer of Systra SA, French owned global transportation engineering company. Most recently, he was an Executive Director of AWE plc, a nuclear security business. Andrew is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers As previously announced, David Garman, Non-Executive Director, will step down from the Board at the forthcoming AGM.
