Tanfield Group plc ('Tanfield' or the 'Company')) announces Mr Roy Stanley
purchased 200,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 20 June 2005 at a price of
17.25p per share. Mr Stanley now holds 32,576,214 shares in the Company. This
represents 20.13% of the total equity of the Company.
