PRESS RELEASE
Deceuninck achieves first RecyClass Certification for recycled PVC use and renews VinylPlus® Product Label
Hooglede-Gits, Belgium - June 20, 2025 - Deceuninck proudly announces its first-ever RecyClass certification for the use of recycled PVC, marking a significant milestone in the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and circular economy practices. This certification, awarded under the Recycled Plastics Traceability Audit Scheme (General and Module I, Loop requirements), verifies the physical traceability and origin of recycled plastic materials used in Deceuninck's extrusion operations across Belgium, France, and Poland.
In addition, Deceuninck's recycling facility is certified under the RecyClass Recycling Process Certification (General and Module D, PVC requirements), further validating the company's robust recycling processes.
Both certifications are grounded in the European standard EN 15343:2007 and follow the ISO 22095:2020 controlled blending chain of custody model.
These certifications enable Deceuninck to provide customers with detailed, independently verified data on the share of pre- and post-consumer recycled material in audited products. This information will be seamlessly integrated into the Deceuninck Project Planner, offering valuable insights to fabricators, installers, and architects.
"These certifications are a testament to our dedication to transparency and traceability in recycling and the use of recycled PVC," said Celine De Waele, Sustainability Manager at Deceuninck. "They reinforce the integrity of our internal processes and demonstrate our compliance with the REACH restriction on the use of lead in PVC."
Deceuninck also reaffirmed its long-term sustainability goals with the renewal of the
VinylPlus® Product Label in October 2024. This label, awarded to the company's fenestration and Twinson building products manufactured in Belgium, France, Poland, and the UK, was officially presented during the VinylPlus Sustainability Conference on May 22, 2025. The VinylPlus® Product Label recognizes excellence in sustainable development within the PVC building and construction sector.
"We are committed to recycle more pre- and post-consumer (end-of-life) PVC materials and to increase the use of recycled materials in the coming years, thereby reducing the carbon impact of our products," CEO Stefaan Haspeslagh added. "These certifications and recognitions are vital steps in our journey to lead the industry toward a more circular and sustainable future."
