RNS Number : 4704V Oxford Instruments PLC 23 July 2018     Oxford Instruments plc Death of Chairman   It is with great sadness that the Board of Oxford Instruments plc announces the death of its Chairman, Alan Thomson.  Alan has been Chairman since September 2016 and brought a wealth of experience and wisdom to the role.   Ian Barkshire (Chief Executive) commented: "Alan's commitment and passion in driving improvement have been inspirational and his support, guidance and friendship have been greatly valued.
