Survey and sampling work to assess the initial target for scout mining
LONDON, 2 October 2026 – Critical Metals plc (LSE: CRTM), a mining company established to acquire mining opportunities in the critical and strategic metals sector, currently developing the Molulu Copper/Cobalt Project (“Molulu”) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, announces the start of its 2026 field programme at Molulu, following programme authorisation, funding release and mobilisation.
HIGHLIGHTS
— Programme start within the 1-8 October 2026 operational window.
— Personnel and equipment mobilised; site preparation under way - subject to final site confirmation.
— Initial target assessment to inform the decision on scout mining.
OPERATIONAL UPDATE
The field work programme begins with surveying, mapping, trenching, and sampling, with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) and data integration to support target assessment. Results from the fieldwork programme will provide valuable data and information, which will provide greater visibility on the mineralised areas and determine next steps.
Background on Molulu
Molulu is a historically producing copper/cobalt project situated within the prolific Katangan Copperbelt. The project is located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, approximately 100 kilometres from Lubumbashi, accessible from Lubumbashi City, in the Katanga territory, 30 kilometres northwest of the village of Malambwe. Copper has been mined in the Katangan Copperbelt, in which the Molulu Project is located, since the late 19th century. The mineralised zones are at the western end of the Katangan Copperbelt, one of the world's great metallogenic provinces, and contain some of the world’s richest copper, cobalt, and uranium deposits.
NEXT STEPS
The Company will report initial findings following data validation and technical review.

I look forward to updating shareholders on those results in due course.”
