Chilean retailer Falabella BCS:FALABELLA plans to invest $900 million in 2026 to bolster its online operations and physical stores in Latin America, the company said in a statement on Monday.• The planned investment marks a nearly 40% increase from its 2025 budget.• The company will open 17 new stores: five Falabella department stores in Chile and Peru, seven Tottus supermarkets in Peru and five Sodimac home improvement outlets in Mexico and Chile.• "This plan reflects the growth momentum of our omnichannel ecosystem, strengthening both the physical experience of our customers ... and the digital experience," Falabella's CEO Alejandro Gonzalez said in the statement.
