Starting on August 13, the shares of companies listed on the Regulated Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), together with BVB-listed ETFs, are available through Interactive Brokers, expanding international access to Romanian listed companies for investors using the broker's global platform. This development marks a further step in strengthening the global visibility of Romania's capital market.

More than 300 companies are listed on BVB, of which 88 companies on the Main Market, across a broad range of sectors, some of strategic importance to the Romanian economy. The market capitalization of companies listed on BVB recently exceeded the threshold of EUR 130 billion. This progress reflects the sustained development of Romania's capital market in recent years, including a broader listed universe, a growing investor base and stronger market visibility. Over the last 12 months, Romania's main market index, has delivered a total return of more than 80%, the highest among EU main market indices.
The availability of BVB listed shares and ETFs on the Interactive Brokers global platform further supports BVB's broader market development initiatives to enhance market liquidity and broaden investor participation.
