Brazil's Jalles to raise cane crushing in 2026/27, cut share allocated to sugar

Brazilian sugar and ethanol producer Jalles Machado BMFBOVESPA:JALL3 expects its sugarcane crushing to total 7.8 million metric tons in the 2026/27 crop, a 10.2% increase from the previous season.Jalles projected sugar production to fall by 4.2% to 418,100 tons, while ethanol output is seen rising 18% to 372,000 cubic meters.The company forecasts it will allocate 41% of its sugarcane to sugar production in the season, down from 46.4% in 2025/26.Allocation to ethanol meanwhile would hit 59%, up from 53.6% in the previous season.
